Tera Patrick
At the age of 13 she was discovered by a Japanese photographer who enrolled her in the Barbizon Modeling School. She then signed with the agency Morning Sun and became a fulltime model, working her teen years in Japan, Europe and New York. After five years modeling she enrolled in Boise State University to take classes in biology and medicine, earning a certificate as an emergency medical technician and a degree to be a registered nurse. As a nurse she worked in Simi Valley, California.
Even though Tera loved nursing, her friends convinced her to get back into modeling. So she found herself at an audition for Playboy where she was selected for both the magazine and for Playboy TV. This was her beginning as an adult model, a career that has seen her become one of the most important models ever, being the only woman to be on the covers of Playboy and Penthouse simultaneously and is also the only erotic performer to be on the cover of FHM. She became Penthouse Pet of the Month in February 2000 and was the runner up for Pet of the Year.
Eventually she decided to enter the adult film industry and her debut was in Andrew Blake’s movie Aroused, in a softcore lesbian scene. Her first heterosexual hardcore scene was in the movie Fire and Ice. Her performances in that debut year led her to wide recognition and several awards for breakthrough actress, including the Hot d’Or, AVN and XRCO awards. Between 2003 and 2004 she took a year off cameras, had breast increase surgery, on January 9, 2004 she got married with Evan Seinfeld, singer and bass player of the metal band Biohazard, and with him they founded their own producer, Teravision. From that moment on she only filmed girl-girl scenes or straight scenes only with him until 2006. In 2005 they also founded The Tera Patrick Agency to seek for new talents.
In her almost 10 years in the entertainment business, Tera has been featured in over 100 adult films and has appeared on more magazine covers than any other adult star in history. Since winning the coveted "Best New Starlet" award for her first film, Tera has gone on to win every major award in the medium and she continues to set records on the adult charts. She’s an AVN Hall of Fame inductee and has won over 20 awards worldwide.
She currently spends her time raising money for some of the causes she supports as well as being a regular in the most important adult conventions and awards ceremonies. She has also been featured in some mainstream films and TV shows and has made three instructional fitness videos.
