After finishing highschool, and while attending college in Austin, she worked as a dancer at a couple local strip clubs before she began her career in the adult film industry in 2003. Between then and her retirement in 2005, she made more than 100 films, most with Asian themes, but she also was featured in Teen and Latina movies. She is also is also known for her squirting scenes.
She is a fan of body piercings, with her tongue pierced as well as another oral piercing above her front teeth in her gum line. She used to have a vertical clitoral piercing, but she removed it and instead put silver bar bells through each of her nipples. Something curious about her is that during the middle of her career Lily's breast size increased dramatically,. She claimed that the increase was natural and that she never had a breast surgery.
In January of 2005 she decided to put an end to her acting career. Her last film was in 2004 when she made ''Lily Thai's Last Stand''. The movie description presented her in the last performance of her career and in the movie it could be seen a ring on her left ring finger, which probably states that she was getting married and that she had moved on in her life. She made a couple more scenes in 2005 but she hasn't made a movie since then and her official website has been removed.
That same year Lily was nominated for three AVN awards: Best New Starlet, Best Tease and Best All-Girl Sex Scene but couldn't win any.
